FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas.

VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.

Billy Joe Buckler, age 86, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Comanche County, Texas.

He was born in Proctor on July 21, 1925, to Calvin and Lucille (King) Buckler. In 1948, Joe was united in marriage to Ina Ruth Connally in Comanche. Joe was the owner and operator of the Western Auto store in Killeen, TX. He later retired and moved back to Comanche and operated the Furniture Barn. Joe had a natural talent for drawing. He loved sketching but his true passion was water color painting. His favorite pastime was painting ducks and farm scenes.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Lavon Burdette of Comanche and Betty Stockwell of Copperas Cove; one brother-in-law, Thomas Connally and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Ruth Buckler; one sister, Mary Seals and one brother, James Buckler.
