Carol Northington

Carol Eileen Northington, 75, of Comanche, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 in Abilene, Texas. Carol was born on November 16, 1950, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, to Edward Loranzo Ball and Muriel (Henson) Ball.

Carol was a true character-outgoing, witty, and unforgettable. She had a passion for crochet, enjoyed fishing, and loved gathering with friends for a lively game of poker. A dedicated teacher of Texas Hold'Em, she shared her love for the game with many. Family meant everything to her, and she adored her grandkids and great-grandkids. Carol also had a bit of a competitive streak; she enjoyed bowling and spent time working at a local bowling alley.

She is survived by her sons, James Edward Northington, Hiram Wayne Northington, and Samuel Laranzo Northington; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; Brothers James and Gene Ball; Sisters Betty Orr and Frances Wisely.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Muriel Ball; brother, Joe Ball; and sister, Ina Flores.
