Debra Clark

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Shipman Clark, age 59, who left us on May 12, 2026, in Brownwood, Texas. Debra was born on June 27, 1966, in Brownwood, to Don Shipman and Linda (Thornal) Norwood.

Debra was a shining light in the lives of those around her. A talented crafter and devoted homemaker, she found joy in cooking and would always welcome anyone with open arms-she truly never met a stranger. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, whether she was sharing a meal or planting flowers in her garden. Debra had a flair for style and even pursued her passion for beauty by attending cosmetology school, which showcased her artistic spirit.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew Shipman and Zachery Shipman; daughters, Mylia Self and Brianna Shipman; brothers, James Franklin Shipman and Damon James Pulley; sisters, Stephanie Jo Cox, Wendy Hibbitts, and Angelia Mae Cullwell; and multiple grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Donny & Linda Norwood; and father, Donald Shipman.
