Dorothy Faye Couch

Dorothy Faye Couch, 95, of Waco, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026.

Born on September 3, 1930, in Comanche County, Texas, Dorothy was the daughter of John and Clementine Davis. She built her life around what mattered most to her. Faith, family, and creating a warm, welcoming home.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She raised three children and poured her heart into her family, a role she cherished deeply. In the years that followed, she found even greater joy in being a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, always showing up with love, care, and a steady presence.

She had a gift for the simple things that made life meaningful. Cooking food that brought everyone together (especially her famous cheesecake), sewing with care and intention, and creating a home where people felt welcomed, cared for, and loved.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wayne Couch, and her grandson, Derek Wayne Sandhoff.

She is survived by her children, Glenna Sandhoff; Steve and Deborah Couch; and Johnnie and Ann Couch; former son-in-law, Ronnie Sandhoff; her grandchildren, Jody Phifer, Cody Sandhoff, Joey Couch, Sydney Dunham, Johnnie Jeffery Couch, Kristi Redfern, Russell Couch, and Justin Case Couch; 11 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy's life was a quiet example of deep faith, and love for family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27th at 11:00am. Visitation and Funeral will be held at Comanche Funeral Home. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Gustine, Texas.
