Earl Wayne Ellis, a resident of Comanche, TX, passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on December 30, 1957, to George Ellis and Doris (Ellis) Gross in Brownwood, TX.
Earl graduated from Venus High School in Venus, TX, and attended Venus Church of Christ, where he met his wife, Robin Ellis. They shared their commitment to one another on April 8, 1978. They celebrated 47 years of marriage.
While Earl held many jobs, his heart was on the Ellis Ranch, where hard work was not a burden but a way of life. A true farmer at heart, he was most content working the land he loved. He took pride in caring for the animals, the land, and everything entrusted to him, believing in the value of a job done right. The ranch was more than work; it was his passion and home, shaping him into who he was.
Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Robin, of Comanche, TX; sons, Ryan and wife Heather, of Comanche, TX, and Dakota, of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Strant, Sylee, and Pistol; mother, Doris and husband Chuck Gross, of Emory, TX; brother, Gary Ellis, of White Settlement, TX; sister, Kerri Brinkley, of Conway, AR; and stepmother, Barbara Ellis, of Conway, AR. Earl was preceded in death by his father, George Ellis.
