Eddie Lynn McGettes

Eddie Lynn McGettes, 66, from Comanche, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2026. Born on December 25, 1959, to Arthur and Tressie (Towe) McGettes, Eddie lived a full life that revolved around his loved ones and his passions.

Eddie married his best friend and the love of his life, Teresa Lambert, on June 11, 2004, in DeLeon, Texas. Together, they built a warm and loving home filled with laughter and joy. Eddie dedicated over 48 years of hard work at HiPro in Comanche right after finishing high school. He was the kind of guy who took pride in everything he did, whether it was mowing the yard, remodeling their house, or keeping busy with hands-on projects.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with family. Whether it was grilling in the backyard, playing cornhole during family gatherings, or a casual game of dominoes, Eddie thrived on making memories with those he loved. He was a devoted friend, always willing to lend a hand or give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa McGettes; son, Doug McGettes & significant other Jana; daughter, Lacey Patterson; sister, Jo Ann Wilkerson; brother, Paul McGettes & wife Brenda; sister, Debbie Hughes & husband Nathan; grandchildren, Christopher Patterson, Braxton Patterson, McKayla Lambert, Izaiah Moya, Kennedy McGettes, Kensley McGettes, and Zander McGetters; He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jeff Lambert & wife Lisa; and numerous nieces and newphes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur McGettes & Tressie B.; and his sister, Patsy Partin.

Eddie will be missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
