Harold Wayne Smith, 83, of Comanche, TX passed away on September 7, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1942, to the late V.W. "Buzz" Smith and Mary Smith.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy Smith of 60 years; his sons, Rodney Smith and Randy Smith; his daughters-in-law, Elizabeth Smith and Shelli Smith; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Dyer ; and his eight cherished grandchildren: Kristin and her husband Derek Franklin, Amber Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Shelby Smith, Erin and her husband Kyle Burgoyne, Jonathan Carroll, Sara Smith, and Jack Smith. Sandy and Harold also had 7 great grandchildren Carli, Jonathan, Caden, Traelie, Hadli, Mabri, and Liam and 1 great great grandchild.
Harold began his career in June of 1964, working alongside his late father with K Realty and Smith Builders. He later dedicated over 30 years of his life to Texas Power & Light (TXU) before retiring. Following retirement, he continued serving his community as President of the Noon Lion's Club, President of Comanche Chamber of Commerce, and Vice President of Economic Development.
A man of strong faith, Harold was a longtime member of Pearl Street Church of Christ, where he served faithfully as a deacon, was active in church business meetings, and worked with the King's Kids Club. His service reflected his love for the Lord and his desire to encourage the next generation in their faith.
Harold will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his tireless work ethic, and his passion for helping his community thrive. His legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew him
