John "Tom" Helm, 75, passed away on January 25, 2025, in Brownwood, Texas.
Born on August 27, 1949, in Wheeler, Texas, Tom had a lifelong passion for learning. He earned multiple degrees and often referred to himself as a career student because of his deep love for education. His intellectual curiosity and dedication to knowledge shaped both his personal and professional life.
Tom built a distinguished career as a semiconductor engineer, a field in which he made remarkable contributions. His expertise allowed him to live in Germany and travel extensively throughout Asia.
Tom was a man of faith and was a devoted Methodist. His beliefs guided him throughout his life, providing him with strength and purpose.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Tammy Helm; brothers, Michael Helm and H Helm.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Marie Helm; brothers, Jim Helm and Meredith Helm; sisters, Marie Helm and Deenie Quesenberry.
Tom was deeply loved and will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
In honor of John's life, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at 2 PM at the Broken Bronc Cowboy Church. We invite all friends and family to join us for a potluck gathering following the Celebration of Life. The family requests that guests refrain from any distractions, such as children or loud cell phones, so we can all share a meaningful time together in John's memory.
