Larry Harbour

Larry Elwood Harbour, age 80, of Comanche, TX, passed away on November 9th, 2025. He was born in San Antonio, TX, on June 29th, 1945, to Robert J. Harbour and Dealva C. Kerley. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1965.

He married Billie J. Nelms on July 23rd, 1965. Larry and Billie moved to Fort Worth, Texas, in July of the same year. Together, they went on to have three children: Delana, Stephanie, and Randall, in addition to a son-in-law he loved just like his own,Harvey.

He worked for many years as a welder with various companies before starting his own business in the mid-70s. He traveled all over the United States and Mexico installing overhead crane systems and other structures.

Larry was the definition of a lending hand to many people who needed help. From family to friends and even in his community, there was never any request that he couldn't accomplish.

He often loved to go arrowhead hunting with friends and family. In fact, some would call it an obsession. He also was an avid fisherman, whether salt water, fresh water, or a puddle, if he could drop a fishing line, he would.
Searching for pennies and treasures with his metal detector was another pastime you could often find him doing.

When Larry retired, he and Billie moved back to Comanche, Texas, in 2015 to enjoy spending time with his brothers and extended family.

He was a fun-loving grandfather to his two granddaughters, Taylor and M'kayla, and often enjoyed sharing his various hobbies with them.
Larry also has three great grandchildren whom he loved more than life: Kona, Solara, and Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Harbour; daughter, Delana Harry; daughter, Stephanie, and husband, Harvey Schultz; son, Randall Harbour; granddaughter, Taylor, and husband, Joel, and their children, Kona and Solara Johnston; granddaughter, M'kayla, and husband, Clayton, and their daughter, Parker Chapman; his brother, Jerry Harbour, and brother, Steve Harbour, and wife, Marilyn. As well as his many wonderful nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, J'darrel; and grandparents.
