It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Noe "Noah" Garcia Gutierrez, who left us peacefully on February 19, 2026, in Abilene, Texas. Born on August 30, 1949, in Devine, Texas, to Felix and Amelia Gutierrez, Noah was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He married his beloved Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez on May 27, 1972, in Comanche, Texas, and together they built a wonderful life filled with love and laughter.
Noah was a proud Vietnam veteran, who was drafted in 1969 and served 2 years, and after that, he dedicated more than 30 years working for the highway department at TxDot in Comanche, Texas. Noah was the kind of guy who could light up a room with his humor and warmth. He loved spending time outdoors, working on his farm, and had a heart of gold-always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh with anyone he met. Many would say he never met a stranger, and his deep faith in the Lord guided him throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria "Lupe" Gutierrez; his son, Roy Valdez and wife LeAnn; his daughter, Katrina Smith and husband Joe Evans; his grandchildren, Aaron Spells and wife Karina Lopez, Cam'ron Spells, Avery Grace Valdez, and Jacob Noah Valdez; and his siblings Lucy Medina, Paul Gutierrez, Eva Morin, Olga Suniga, Raymon Gutierrez, Betty Martinez and Adam Gutierrez; many nieces, nephews and cousins who adored him.
Noah is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Gutierrez Sr. and Amelia; his brother, Felix Gutierrez Jr.; his brother, Rick Gutierrez; and his sister, Alma Villanueva.
