Sandra Sue Blackwood, 81, of Comanche, passed away on January 31, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sandra was a devoted educator for 30 years, teaching in both Texas and Tennessee. A proud graduate of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, she carried the heart of a teacher into every part of her life. She was known for her caring, thoughtful, and genuine outlook, always ready with encouragement, and a steady presence when it mattered most. Above all, she loved being "Bob-O" and treasured time with her granddaughters, Abbey and Finley.
Sandra is survived by her children, Amber Bell (Seth) and Scott Clendenin (Jessica), and her beloved granddaughters.
Sandra was a proud member of First United Methodist Church in Comanche, where her faith and love for community were evident in the way she lived. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Comanche County Historical Museum, reflecting her commitment to preserving local history and supporting the community she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. W.D. And Dorothy Blackwood, her brother, Larry, and Pat Clendenin.
