Sharron Kay "Kay" Humphrey was born on August 31, 1940, in Littlefield, Texas. She lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a servant's heart. Above all, Kay was devoted to her family. She spent her life raising her children, loving her grandchildren, and serving as a caregiver for many others, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own.
Kay's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love that will continue through generations.
She is lovingly survived by her sons, Wesley Hurt (Bonnie) and Weldon Hurt (Debbie); grandchildren J.W. Hurt, Bryson Hurt, and Branson Hurt (Keeli); and great-grandchildren Brody Hurt, Adalyn Hurt, Brooks Hurt, and Brigham Hurt.
She is also survived by Tommy Humphrey (Diane); Roxanne Humphrey and Traci Humphrey; James Denton; and her extended Humphrey family, including 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A.L. Humphrey; Shirley Denton, Johnny Humphrey and Rickey Humphrey.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to University Place, Gentiva Hospice-especially Rebecca, Alex, and Pastor Bruce-and to all at Home Instead, especially her special caregiver, Kathy, for the compassion, kindness, and care they provided.
Kay will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her caregiving heart, and the love she poured into everyone blessed to know her.
