Syble Holmsley

Syble Ann Caloway Holmsley went quietly from this world into the arms of her heavenly Father on April 17, 2026 at the age of 86.

Syble was born on August 4,1938 in Rockdale, Texas to Jesse Vernon and Bonnie (Cunningham) Caloway. In 1956, Syble graduated from Austin High School in Houston, Texas.

She married the love of her life, Bill Holmsley, on October 7,1961 and gave birth to their son, William Holmsley, on July 14, 1962. They made their home in Comanche, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holmsley; her son, William Holmsley; her sister, Barbara Jones of Houston, Texas; and parents, J.V. and Bonnie Caloway of Houston, Texas.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Dana McGlone of Winnsboro, Texas; great grandsons, Brandon Rodriguez of Winnsboro and Kamron Rasberry (wife, Sadie) of Winnsboro; brother, Jim Caloway (wife, Connie) of Magnolia, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Syble was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
