Thomas Dewayne Tackett

Thomas Dewayne Tackett, 78 of Comanche, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 in Bangs, Texas after a brave fight against cancer. He was born on August 12, 1947 to Roy and Barbara Tackett (Lacy). On February 12, 1982 he married the love of his life, Vicki Tackett (Livingston). He was a devoted husband, father, and 'Poppins'. Tom was a dedicated employee of Kohler in Brownwood, Texas for 36 years. A lover a classic rock, knife collecting, the Beatles, trivia, and a nice cold coca cola. He was a Baptist. Tom is survived by his sons; Christopher Tackett of Comanche, and Heath Tackett and his wife Anesha of Rockport. Grandchildren; Madison Graham and husband Daniel of Kansas, Kiley Felio and husband Philip of Kansas, Cody Tackett of Brownwood, Sam Ihlenfeldt and wife April of Whitney, Nick Ihlenfeldt of College Station, Elijah Ihlenfeldt of Whitney, Levi Ihlenfeldt of Aquilla, and Chace Tackett of Rockport. Great grandchildren; Sawyer, Matthew, Brixlee, and Ember. Sister Wanona Scheriger and husband Mike of Sidney, and brother Richard Tackett and wife Lisa of Justin.
