Tressie “MaMaw” McNutt was born on July 18, 1923, in Comanche, Texas, to Odis Gaines and Mable Lois (Moore) Cottrell.
She was united in marriage to John Wesley “J.W.” McNutt.
Tressie was a homemaker and a member of East Side Baptist Church in Comanche. She and J.W. helped raise 54 boys as house parents at the South Texas Childrens Home in Pettus, Texas, for many years.
She is survived by her two sons, Rickey McNutt and wife, Cheryl, and Chris McNutt and wife, Stacy; three grandchildren, Jonathan McNutt and wife, Kelli, David McNutt and wife, CeCe, Alyssa McNutt; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Malaki.
